Adhered masonry seismic testing  was the first in the World, and it’s a code requirement to prove the enclosure system stays on the building during the Seismic Design Event.  The article explains why this is code relevant in all but Zones 1 and 2, and how the testing protocol was derived, and lastly the test results.

This international conference in Bern, Switzerland invited me to speak on “The Perfect Enclosure Process”.  This is the only time I ever tried to present for 45 minutes using only one slide.  To my defense, there was a lot of information on that slide.

This national conference allowed me to present an article for the enclosure role in the Living Building Challenge.

This article explored the maximum 3D space a building should occupy in order to allow diret solar light to neighboring structures.  This researched help to evolve one petal in the Living Building Challenge.

As a Master’s Thesis post Professional Architectural Bachelors, this thesis used constructed MOB buildings and compared cost impacts of various delivery methods.
